The second annual Roman HLIS PIT face to face meeting was held from November 19 to 21st at UPenn in Philadelphia.
The meeting was also hybrid, so members of the team were able to join remotely for discussions. The meeting was highly productive, and several important tasks were accomplished despite the compressed schedule. Most importantly, the PIT developed and documented a first draft of our pixel to cosmological parameter pipeline thanks to the hard work of our pipeline manager Dida and several whiteboards. We also heard an excellent set of JuMP talks, highlighting the variety of interesting and important work that the junior members have been leading. The face to face meeting also saw the kickoff of the JuMP mentoring program, matching mentors and mentees at all career stages to provide guidance and advice for science and careers.
A special thank you to the local organizing committee - Bhuv, Mike, Kunhao, and Megan - for hosting us and showing us around Philadelphia, and for teaching us how to play table tennis :)
